Include your Handle (@username) and Virtual Phone Number in the request. We will process your request within 7-10 business days.
3 Deletion Options Explained
Boofer offers three levels of account control to suit your needs:
- Freeze Account: This hides your profile and messages from other users. You can reactivate your account anytime by simply logging back in. Your data is kept secure and intact.
- Temporary Delete (Deactivation): Your account is deactivated and hidden. You have a 30-day grace period to recover your account by logging in. After 30 days, the account and all associated data are automatically scheduled for permanent deletion.
- Permanent Delete: This is an immediate and irreversible action. All your chat history, media, contacts, and profile information are permanently erased from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
4 Data Impact & Retention
When you choose Permanent Delete, the following data is affected:
- Profile Data: Your handle, bio, name, and profile picture are immediately removed.
- Messages & Media: All end-to-end encrypted messages and media files stored on our servers for delivery are purged.
- Virtual Number: Your unique Boofer virtual number is released and may be recycled after a cooling-off period.
- Subordinate Profiles: If you delete your primary account, all associated subordinate profiles are also deleted.
Retention Period: For security and legal compliance, some anonymized metadata (such as transaction IDs for payments or security audit logs) may be retained for up to 12 months, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
